In short
Lava Marble collects no personal data about you: no accounts, no online leaderboard, no ads, no profiling and no cookies. We sell no data. Everyone, children included, can play the full game.
Controller
Jacek Mariusz Taczała (a private person who made the game with passion, free for everyone), contact: kontakt@stop60.no.
Data on your device
Best score, coins, chosen skin, unlocked skins, missions, number of runs and the daily challenge are stored only in your browser storage (localStorage) on this device – keys lavakule_best_v1, lavakule_bank_v1, lavakule_skin_v1, lavakule_skins_v1, lavakule_ach_v1, lavakule_runs_v1, lavakule_daily_…. They are never sent to us. This is strictly necessary for features you use, so no consent is needed. You can delete it at any time by clearing site data for stop60.no in your browser.
The motion sensor (tilt) is read only inside your browser to steer the marble; no sensor data is stored or sent.
Anonymous statistics (GoatCounter)
We count visits with GoatCounter without cookies: page and referring page, browser and OS, language, screen width, country (derived from the IP address) and anonymous events – “game started”, “game finished”, “game shared” and approximate play time in coarse ranges (e.g. “1–3 min”). The IP address and browser are used only in server memory (up to 8 hours) to count unique visits; only aggregate numbers are stored, without IP address or identifier. GoatCounter stores nothing in your browser.
Purpose: to know how many people play and for how long. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR / UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time: block scripts, or open the game with #toggle-goatcounter at the end of the address – this device is then no longer counted (remembered in localStorage as “skipgc”).
Sharing
The share button opens your device’s share menu or copies the link. Nothing about what you share reaches us (only the anonymous “game shared” event).
Recipients
GoatCounter (Martin Tournoij, Ireland) – statistics, servers in the EU (privacy policy). GitHub, Inc. (USA) – hosting via GitHub Pages; GitHub may log IP address and browser data when pages load, transfers under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (privacy statement). Email to kontakt@stop60.no is forwarded by ImprovMX Inc. (USA) to Proton AG (Switzerland) and used only to reply.
Fonts and the 3D library (Three.js) are served with the game; no external font or script services. Sounds are synthesised in the browser.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and to object. Write to kontakt@stop60.no. You can complain to Datatilsynet (Norway), UODO (Poland) or your local EU authority. In the UK, UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply (complaints to the ICO). In India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 applies (Data Protection Board of India). In the USA: we collect no personal information from children (COPPA), do not sell or share personal information (e.g. CCPA/CPRA) and use no tracking cookies.
Health
Warning: the game contains brief flashing lights and screen shake. Take breaks, and do not play if you are sensitive to flashing light.
Changes
If the game starts processing data differently (e.g. an online leaderboard), we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
